Coronavirus in 52 African countries with over 10,000 cases, 487 deaths, 993 recoveries
Despite the lockdown order by a number of African countries and other range of prevention and containment measures against the spread of the pandemic. Africa is still experiencing an increased in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
There are now over 10,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus across the continent. All except two African countries have recorded cases despite measures imposed by governments to combat the spread.
According to statistics sourced from Africa CDC updates, from the John Hopkins University and from official government data. The whole of Africa has rising cases with only two countries holding out as of April 7.

In other news, Chinese e-commerce mogul Jack Ma has announced a new round of donation to Africa. Ma and his foundation is partnering with Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed on this round too.

Other partners include include Ethiopian Airlines which has been doing the continent-wide deliveries and the African Union’s Africa Center for Disease Control (Africa CDC) which is also headquartered in Addis Ababa.
