Singer Tinashe has been Sued By an Australian Music Producer for Copyrights Infrigment and accused of stealing music.
Tinashe and MakJ are been faced with a lawsuit filed by an Australian Music Producer accusing them for using his music for their song “Save Room For Us” without permission.
According to reports from The Blast a man named William Kissas, also known as Will K, has filed a lawsuit against Tinashe and singer Mackenzie Johnson, also known as MakJ, over their joint single “Save Room For Us.”
The producer Will K said, back in February 2019 he was in contact with MakJ about making music together in hopes of future collaborating with Tinashe. Will K claims he sent some of his music over to MakJ via DropBox for consideration and both parties allegedly agreed that if Tinashe was down to make a song, he was to be paid and given production credits.
After finding out that Tinashe and Makj have used his music for their song “Save Room For Us” without his knowledge, he attempted to contact MakJ to no avail.
He decided to file the lawsuit claiming he was ignored and both singers have benefited financially from the music that he allegedly created. Will K has accused them of “copyright infringement and fraudulent misrepresentation.”
Couple with unspecified damages, Will K hopes that a court will stop the singers from selling the song in the future. He is also requesting for all of the profits acquired from “Save Room For Us” and wants Tinashe and MakJ to pay for his attorney fees. Check out the song below.
