Watch The Weeknd Perform Blinding Lights At 2020 MTV VMAs

Tonight, the 2020 edition of MTV’s Video Music Awards are taking place with a bunch of great performances brought to you despite the pandemic going on. Artists are pre-recording their performances now and it seems like a lot of people prefer it this way round, so perhaps this is a long term change we could see with music award shows.

Opening up tonight’s show just a few minutes ago was none other than The Weeknd who has been remaining busy despite releasing his new album After Hours in March. Just recently, the singer put out his ‘Over Now‘ single with Calvin Harris.

Cardi B, Dougie B, and Bory300 help Kay Flock round out “Shake It.”

Today, the Bronx anthem has finally arrived everywhere for our listening pleasure along with a music video. Kay Flock comes from a dangerous environment in the Bronx but drill music has given him the escape he needed to do something worthwhile with his life. Thanks to his close friends B-Lovee and Dougie B, Kay Flock is now using the platform to record smashes.

The visual has been long teased online as the artists unite for an epic party in the Boogie Down Bronx but of course, Kay Flock did not join them. The rapper is currently incarcerated as he awaits his trial for first-degree murder. His legal troubles haven’t halted his career and “Shake It” has been heavily anticipated.

The latest single ‘Shake It’ samples a popular track and has Cardi B back in the streets she’s familiar with as she rallies a tough flow over the drill instrumental.

Check out the music video directed by RingRing Visuals and Jochi Sac below.

Tyga returns with the music video for his single “Lifetime”

Rapper Tyga dropped off a more introspective single centered around a relationship on the rocks. The single he titles “Lifetime” along with its scaled-down visual, and on the track, Tyga raps about having an inconsistent romance that he’s trying to balance with his rap star lifestyle.

The song has caused the public to rehash Tyga’s previous drama with ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson. Last year, she pressed charges against him over an alleged domestic violence incident, but later, it was reported that Tyga would not be formally charged. This track has many speculating that there is a woman out there tugging on the rapper’s heartstrings, but as usual, Tyga has been secretive about his love life.
